This Week Has Been Bliss

This photo has nothing to do with the topic. But there’s no such thing as leather overload, is there?

Anyway, I think I’d give anything to live this way the other 51. Do what’s important to me and not have to work for a living. I do believe it’s possible, and even probable, given the loving work I’ve put into my caterpillar of a business this past year.

It’s been so fucking slow though. Having to squeeze it in between working hours is a drag. But I do something every day at least. And when I do, I try to put my mind into a zone of already being there.

There are so many ways all of us can make the world a better place. Working at a job we dislike isn’t one of them. Someone once said find the thing that lights you up, and do that thing. The world needs those kind of people.

Back to the photo then ~

Maybe it’s telling us to unzip yourself and release your passion.

  1. No no, absolutely not! I haven’t deleted my photo either. Reading your posts is a delight and I really wish you keep them coming. Even if I’m the only person reading them. I really like your attitude, I think we share both the mindset and the sense of aesthetics. And passions.

I’m curious to know more about your projects. I understand you want to keep it all vague, only talking about your emotions, not giving away the context.

But anyway, I’m here and not planning to go away!

  2. I’m so pleased to hear you are high spirited and going strong, and I have some (positive) envy for your situation. I’m hoping this year will see me also go though some major changes and open up new avenues. Let’s see, and I agree, there is never too much leather!

By the way, a while back I came across a 1968 film which has a bit of a cultish reputation: The Girl on a Motorcycle. Starring young Marianne Faithful, the movie is a breed of its time, and cinematographically it is no masterpiece. But there is something about its ethos that’s captivating (not just Faithful in leather on a big bike) and I think you might appreciate it. The full movie can be found on YouTube, but I ended up ordering the Blu-ray from Amazon. Check if out. The end is quite pathetic, though, I would have done it quite differently.
